CN Tower & US Side Trip

For the past week or so I went downtown to have lunch @ CN Tower, then went on a side trip to the states for four days — to Boston, New York City, New Jersey, Philadelphia and Washington.. Here’s some pictures!

So it’s been a few days in Canada, and I love it here — the company, weather and food is just amazing These few days I basically went laser tagging, playing basketball, watched The Last Airbender, and basically just chilled. Here’s some pictures!

Apparently The Last Airbender was being trashed and dissed because it was horrible, but I guess it wasn’t too bad, it kind of reminded me of 10,000BC, the kid version. I don’t want to spoil it too much, but yeah it was ok. Don’t bother watching in 3D because it wasn’t really.. 3D.

So those who are following me on twitter would know that I went over here in Canada to have a vacation kinda thing and right now i’m staying at my 姑媽’s place @ the basement.. it may sound creepy but it’s actually really spacious and nice. Well, i’ve got nothing much to say just check out the pics!

So that was year 12, it went past really quick and the summer holidays seem like a huge long break but there’s going to be a lot of things going on. Perhaps, the extended essay and university applications aren’t enough, there’s also work experience… D: It’s going to be busy!

To celebrate the end of year 12, we basically just chilled at a LAN cafe for around an hour then watched the movie Knight and Day, it was a pretty funny and action packed movie, I liked it — and dang, Cameron Diaz is getting old, and Tom Cruise… still very fly. Anyways so we trolled Toys’ R Us for around an hour and picked up a vuvuzela, and seriously, it’s so hard to play it, I still haven’t mastered it and the one we got cuts the lips so it’s quite uncomfortable trying to use it D:

I guess the ‘climax’ of the night was supposed to be watching Brazil vs Portugal World Cup match, but it turned out super boring, no goals D: Anyways that’s it for tonight, I think i’ll be getting my DSLR tomorrow, today or tomorrow.

Playing around with Photoshop CS5′s Content Aware

Adobe’s CS5 is quite something, it’s fun to play around with — especially the content aware, you can easily get rid of the pairings you don’t like -ahem-, so I tried to do this with K-pop pictures I had, for the people that I shopped off it’s not because I don’t like them, it’s just for a testing purpose and I’m like SNSD biased so bear with me! I noticed that the content aware doesn’t work too good when you have a small resolution image or you have a lot of stuff in the background e.g buildings or people, I will show you two examples of it.

Then after deleting Key and Taemin (No offense), it looks like this

This is one of the successful ones because there’s a plain background with not a lot of other things to interfere with Photoshop’s sampling, here’s a bad example:

Then attempting to remove Siwon and Kangin… it fails because there’s a ‘complicated’ background and the image’s resolution is low
